Firstly, lets explain the name. Devoid of any substantive sponsors, we took on the name of Jon's business, SUTMAP, which produces the leading topo maps of the area around Mt Kosciuszko/Perisher/Thredbo & Schlink Pass/The Kerries/Rolling Ground. B.E.A.N. simply stands for Brisbane Enthusiastic Adventure Nuts. It started off as an accurate acronym, then we had to bring in re-inforcements from Canberra. Perhaps now we should simply be called Nuts, enthusiastic or not?! 

The team consists of Jon Sutcliffe, Gavin Bliesner, Sean Henderson (all from Brisbane) & Danealle Lilley (from Canberra). Gav is the most experienced XPD campaigner having raced the first 2 editions, Jon raced the third edition, whereas Sean & Danealle are experienced over 1 & 2 day races. We share a philosophy, that completing as a full team of 4 is what matters. We aim to look after ourselves, each other and to sleep, eat & drink well. We are confident of a winning formula - our victory will be completing within 8 days.
