Goodbye Bribie Multisport

It is with great reluctance that we are canceling the Bribie Multisport in 2011.

The primary reason for the cancellation is a financial one. Unfortunately an event of this scale has considerably high fixed costs to enable it to run in a safe and professional manner. Over the years there has not been enough sponsorship nor increase in competitor numbers support the cost.

We have thoroughly enjoyed running the event over the last 4 years. The Bribie Island Multisport has attracted a passionate following and this, combined with great competition and camaraderie amongst the competitors, is what has kept us returning to put on this race each year.

We would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the event over the last 4 years. Special thanks goes to the Petrie Scouts, Bribie High School, Bribie Volunteer Marine Rescue, Woorim Surf Life Saving Club, Forestry Plantations QLD, the Caboolture Council and our sponsors Allez Sport, Gu and Tri Adventure.
