flowing single track the property is renowned for.
Why the 6hr Enduro? Two reasons, it is a great track and it is
sooooooooo close to Brisbane! Entries

Mountain Designs GeoQuest - 48hr Adv Race
Entries about to open, HQ announced in coming weeks.
The
Mountain Designs GeoQuest for 2009 is looking to be one of the best
GeoQuest events ever to be staged. An incredible new location taking
in Forster and Barrington Tops sees some modifications being made
to the original format to allow teams to visit some truly spectacular
areas.
Within weeks the official announcement will be made on the HQ location
and entries will be opened soon after that. Get your team ready
to take advantage of the early bird discounts which will only be
available for a very limited time.
2009 will see the addition of Grade 1 white water kayaking using
inflatable kayaks provided by Geocentric. This is the first time
white water kayaking will be included in the Mountain Designs GeoQuest
and will provide teams a massive "fun factor" in this
exhausting event. Teams will provide their own craft for the rest
of the kayaking which sadly will not see the infamous surf start!
Yes, 2009 will omit sea kayaking in favour of the white water and
inland waterways. As well as some great mountain biking and trekking
keep your eyes on the website for a new mystery discipline!
More details will be released in the coming weeks through the website.
In fact, check back as the whole GeoQuest site is undergoing a makeover!

XPD Expedition Race
XPD 5th Edition Sneak Peak!
Planning
for the 5th edition of XPD is well underway and here is a sneak
preview of what teans have in store.
Firstly, the location is being narrowed down and access discussions
are underway. Organisers have been looking at two very different
location options, however attention is gravitating towards Far North
Queensland. While this is still to be confirmed, North Queensland
offers a very attractive option for an epic course based out of
Cairns. The expedition racing terrain is some of the best in the
world and has so many great course and discipline options. It could
include the Great Barrier Reef, snorkelling and sailing disciplines.
The white water rivers are legendary and flow through pristine rainforest.
Not to mention incorporating some of the iconic legs that were part
of the Eco Challenge held there in 1997. Wow!
Dates are being investigated for May 2010 which is 18 months after
the 4th edition. Entries are scheduled to open in August and will
be limited due to the sensitive nature of some parts of the course.
A final decision on the course location will be announced in the
coming months.
